If You Don’t Make Time to Decompress, Life Will Do It for You Brutally.

A dear friend of mine had a panic attack on her holiday.
Not from bad news, but from years of nonstop work, family obligations, and never feeling acknowledged.
She’s trapped in a vicious cycle where even rest feels wrong. She feels guilty for taking time off.
Before it happened, I asked:
"Do you have a way to decompress?"
Some people hike.
Some paint.
Some run.
Some connect.
Her answer? “No.”
And that’s the danger.
In today’s world, so many people run at full speed without ever letting the engine cool.
Decompression isn’t luxury.
It’s survival.
If you don’t choose to pause, your body and mind will do it for you and it won’t be on your terms.
Time is our most obsolete currency.
Cut out the things that drain your hours but give nothing back.
Focus on what’s worth your while the things you enjoy, and the things that move you forward in personal progress and gratification.
Find your outlet. Protect it. Use it.
